How Count Financial is investing in the next generation of advisers

In 2020, Count Financial launched its Professional Year Program on the back of FASEA’s requirement that new entrants into the financial planning industry undergo supervised work and training before becoming authorised as a financial adviser. Since that launch, we have already had our first graduate from the program at one of our long-standing Melbourne-based firms.

We’re committed to the future of advice and understand the importance of nurturing a new generation of financial advisers. At the moment, we have seven aspiring advisers going through our Professional Year Program, and another four who have agreed to commence are currently going through our onboarding due diligence process. These are significant numbers when you consider that there only around 300 Professional Year participants across the entire industry.

Our Professional Year Program was designed to make the experience as intuitive and efficient as possible for both participants and their supervisors. We provide a range of tools such as templates, educational materials and a suggested calendar of topics to support participants throughout the year and help them get the most out of the program.

For our Member firms, having a participant in the program opens avenues for client growth and the opportunity to implement a more definitive business succession plan with another adviser in their business.
