WSC Group going to the next level in partnership with CountPlus

Earlier this year, WSC Group became the most recent firm to join the CountPlus’ national accounting and advisory network with a clear goal in mind – partnering with a business with a proven track record of success to support their growth objectives.

WSC Group is Sydney-based but has a number of offices around Australia. They were founded by David Shaw on the back of his fervent desire to help real people get ahead with their financial goals and remains deeply committed to delivering outstanding client outcomes.

Speaking about their decision to join CountPlus, Catherine Simons, Director at WSC Group, said the decision was largely based on improved access to resources, a clear roadmap for continued business growth and a shared vision between the businesses.

“We recognised that our business growth was maximised under our previous operating structure, and we knew it was important to find a partner who was supportive of growth and able to assist us in that endeavour.  The future of our industry requires integrated practices with a strong accounting and financial planning offering. The CountPlus network affords us the opportunity to share knowledge and technology across the network of peers.”

Ms Simons added that the onboarding experience was one of the standout aspects during the transition period.

“The onboarding team were fantastic to work with. The M&A team are fantastic communicators and available every step of the way through the onboarding process. The due diligence process in relation to our accounting business was professional, efficient, and provided us with valuable tools to continue to grow as a business.”

The shared alignment and vision between the businesses was also seen as a compelling point of difference when choosing to join the CountPlus network.

“Our vision is to be regarded by our clients, our competitors, and our staff as being the firm of excellence in the financial services industry. The focus that CountPlus has on the importance of having a client-first culture, people and values aligns well with our vision. We look forward to not only having the support of the CountPlus leadership team and network, but also to contributing to their growth and development.

Overall, we are really pleased with our decision to join the CountPlus group. We have already made some great connections with the other Member firms and we feel well prepared and excited for our next phase of business growth,” Ms Simons concluded.
